Welcome to the Austrian Payments Council
The project for the establishment of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) is part of the in the year 2000 agreed Lissboa-Agenda, which aims at reorganise the pan-european corporate finance.
According to that the payment transactions approach radical changes within the european union. Mostly banks are affected, which offer payment services.
With this background the austrian financial institutions together with the Austian National Bank and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber -financial division and the Federation of Austrian Banks set up the Austrian Payments Council, in short APC in line with the STUZZA.
The APC shall be understood as a national austrian coordination platform for the technical implementation of the SEPA requirements and works as an equivalent of the European Payments Council, in short EPC, in the european line. |
